James Wells was a soul singer before hooking up with Ian Levine and scoring heavily on the disco charts with his "My Claim To Fame" lp in 1978 on AVI. His second, and final album, "Explosion" was not as successful but it did feature the exciting title track and this one which featured in the gay disco Heaven's first top ten when it opened in 1979 as well as being covered by the Love Twins in 1981. Sadly, James died from AIDS in the early 1990's.
